Greetings! The 2025/2026 school year will be my 22nd year teaching at Good Shepherd. Throughout those years I have worn many hats, including teaching 4th grade, 1st grade, 3rd grade and library. Each of those teaching opportunities have been instrumental in understanding different grade level curriculum and child development. Daily I refer to those experiences when assisting students, teachers, and parents via my position as Resource Teacher/Coordinator. Reading is one of my passions and it is a gift to teach students to read. I take that responsibility very seriously and love to see those light bulb moments when reading starts to click.
Other passions include my faith and family. Teaching in a Catholic school allows me to share my faith and weave it into everything I do. My husband and I are active in our faith and strongly value Catholic Education. Our daughters attended Good Shepherd and St. James Academy and we see the virtues this education instilled in them daily. Both girls are in college, Mia Kate is a junior at Creighton University and Jillian is a freshman at my Alma Mater, the University of Kansas. I strongly value family time as life moves quickly. "So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away, And in its place you can install, A lovely bookshelf on the wall."
