Music has been a part of my whole life! I graduated from KU in 2022 with a Bachelors of Music Education. Good Shepherd is the first school I have taught at, and it has become like home. While at KU, I was a drum major for the KU Marching Jayhawks for the 2020 and 2021 season. I also performed in the KU Wind Ensemble, KU Jazz 1, and several other small ensembles. My main instruments of emphasis are saxophone and piano, and I am also proficient in all kinds of other instruments including clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. I continue in musical activities outside of Good Shepherd including teaching private lessons, assisting the saxophone section in the Blue Valley Southwest Emerald Regiment, performing in Crossroads Wind Symphony, and singing in the choir at the church I attend.
My husband, Chris, and I have been married for two years, and he also plays saxophone and heartily supports my endeavors. When I'm not making music, I am usually spending time with my family in town, playing video games, and dogsitting my sister's dog, Peaches.
