 I will be teaching Science, Technology, and Stem at Good Shepherd this year.

I will update pictures of things going on in and out of the classroom as the year progresses so please check it out. 

Please make sure you check your child's Google Classroom page with them, there are many announcements and copies of paperwork posted here. Study guides and root word lists can also be found here. I post many of the assignment pages here in case someone forgets the paper at school.

Welcome to 7th grade Science. This year we will cover some Biology, Physics, and Ecology. We will pick up where you left off in 6th grade with a continuation of Cells. This will lead us into a unit on  Genetics. Ecology, Diversity of Living things, and Life over Time with be our second area of study.  We will then switch gears and move into Force and Motion for our final unit. We will have a dissection in the spring. This is a general introduction to dissection and should not be worried about. 

I will be teaching STEM this year to all K-8th Graders in our building. Each grade will have specific modules they will be teaching. we are finalizing the exact modules per grade. Check back in a couple of weeks for an update. 

In 8th grade we go into great depth into our topicsWe will focus on Biology and Chemistry. We will cover the Human body and all the systems. The students will then complete a project incorporating the Human body as well as give them a chance to practice public speaking. They will master one body system and expalin it to their Dr. Office. We will also cover Chemistry and the periodic table. We will cover acids and bases in the spring. At the end of the year we will complete a dissection in class.
